Once a summer, SSPA transforms into an amusement park boasting inflatable slides, dunk tanks, obstacle courses, slip n’ slides… and lots of popsicles! Just add water!

One of our most popular field trips is to Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire. Supervised by staff, small groups of students travel together throughout the park enjoying everything Canobie has to offer. Don’t forget money for fried dough!

Another fan favorite field trip is SSPA’s Movie Theater Takeover where our students get to take off the hat of performer and technician and instead sit back, relax, and enjoy an age appropriate movie. As an added bonus, the entire SSPA community shares in the delight of our film production students seeing their original short films previewed on the big screen!

Provided only with riddles to unpack and coded-clues to solve, our Junior Leadership Team guides small groups of students on a campus wide search for staff members in hiding. The harder the clue, the more points they earn! The team with the highest point total at the end of the day wins the coveted Staffenger Cup!

SSPA is always looking for opportunities to perform on stages well beyond our own. From the local farmers’ market to the 38,000 seat Fenway Park, our students and staff are ready for the challenge!

From Decades Day to SSPA Pride, to the classic PJ Day, SSPA champions and celebrates Inclusion and Fun! Our Spirit Days are simple opportunities for staff and students to take risks and be reminded that we are alike in so many ways: we all have an inner child!
